Hey! It's me, Monicka, although you can tell by the aqua writing, anyway, I'm here to teach you to do the front profile, so I have drawn the pics as well, (but if they are wonky it's coz Kurai has the scanner and they were put on wonky but I don't think any of them are, (Yay)). Here we go. Good Luck and have fun!
1) Ok, set your compass to 5cm so that it will make a 10cm diameter circle. Make sure it is a good circle and not a wiggley one like on mine.
2) Draw a line vertically down the middle of the circle. Now draw the following line straight across the circle horizontally;
5cm from the top (in other words the middle)
6.6cm from the top
one at the bottom of the circle
and one at 13.2cm

3) From the center on the line under the circle measure 3.7cm going to the left. Then draw a line from the side of the circle where the 6.6cm line is down to the marking you just made on the bottom of the circle's line. Then draw a line down to the center at 13.2cm. Do this on the other side, (I know, very confusing but look at the diagram and it might help).
4)a. Now you need to decide whether you are doing a girl or a boy. Have you decided? Good. For a girl you will need to measure 3.5cm to the left. Make a marking, and another 1.5cm from the center to the left as well. Measure 2cm down from the 6.6cm line and draw a straight line across. Then draw staright lines from 3.5cm and 1.5cm. Do the same on the right side. (Yet again confusing. I am bad at explaining things in a simple was. Just look at the diagram saying Step 4A If you need any more help contact me)
4)b. For a boy you do the same thing but instead you go 1.5cm down instead of 2cm down.
5) I am gonna do a girl coz I feel like it. Girls are the same as boys but the eyes are bigger, only difference. Right, draw the ears in with the tip of them touching the 6.6cm line and the bottom below the bottom eye line. Copy the ear inner from the zoomed in picture. Add a nose under the bottom eye line and above the bottom circl line, a mouth 0.5cm under the bottom circl line and a dimple 1cm under the bottom circle line. Look at zoomed in picture for detail
6) Draw on eyebrows on the middle horisontal line, and make it thin eyebrows and not Groucho Marx eyebrows. Draw two lines comming down from the face for a neck. Now the eye. For a basic eye copy the eye from the diagram, or go to the Eye page on the homepage (Might not be up yet).
7) Hair. Hmm... This is a toughy. Basically draw any hair style you want. You can have it spikey, straight, long, short anything. If you want it can cover the eyes and ears.
8) Now with your inky pen, go around the hair. If it goes over the ears don't draw in the ears. If it goes over the eyes, draw in the eye's still but colour only the parts in that aren't covered in hair. Go aroubd the eyebrows, nose, mouth and chin. If you like then you don't have to have the chin as pointy, or you can leave it as it is. Once you have done that, rub out all pencil and then you have done your manga.
9) If you want to colour you picture in I recommend that you photocopy it first in case you make a mistake. If you don't have one or don't want to copy them all out again colour it in but be very careful. One slip and you could make a defistating mistake. Depending on which way you have the shine in the eyes and the shadow of the nose all depends on the shadow. See the diagram for the best shading techniques.
Ok, your manga is complete. Now if you want to you can send it to me by e-mail so I can put it in the public gallery. If not, then frame it, throw it away I don't care I just hope you enjoyed drawing it. Well Done!!
